Official transport
Arriving in the city
- AICM (Terminals 1 and 2): Metrobús (bus rapid transit) Line 4 runs from the terminals straight to Centro Histórico/Bellas Artes for MX$ 30 1,2. No cash: pay with the Tarjeta MI (transit card), sold and topped up at machines that don't give change, or, according to the official tourism guide, with a contactless card 1,2.
- Metro Line 5, Terminal Aérea station (near T1), for MX$ 5. The official guide doesn't recommend it if you have large luggage 1.
- Authorised taxi: buy your ticket at the counters inside the terminal and ignore offers in the corridors. Uber, DiDi and Cabify don't pick up at the terminal door; the app shows a pick-up point on the outer roads 1.
- AIFA (Felipe Ángeles): the Tren Suburbano Buenavista–AIFA has been running since 26 Apr 2026. The trip takes about 60 minutes and trains run Monday to Friday from 5am to midnight, Saturdays from 6am to midnight and Sundays from 7am to midnight. The promotional fare is MX$ 45 3.
Getting to the stadium
- Metro Line 9 (brown): Ciudad Deportiva is about a 10-minute walk away and Puebla 15–18 minutes 4,5. From Velódromo, you have to cross via the Palacio de los Deportes footbridge 5.
- Line 9 connects at Tacubaya (L1/L7), Centro Médico (L3), Chabacano (L2/L8), Jamaica (L4) and Pantitlán (L1, L5, A) 13.
- Trolebús (trolleybus) Line 2: Puerta 8, Puebla and Ciudad Deportiva stops 5,6. From Metrobús Line 2 (Iztacalco, UPIICSA, El Rodeo) the walk is much longer; from Iztacalco it's about 35 minutes 4,6.
- Entrances: Puerta 6, from Viaducto, and Puerta 15, from Eje 3/Añil 5,7. During the Harry Styles residency there was free bike parking at Puerta 15 11.
- Car: prepaid parking was accessed via Puerta 12 at the BTS show 7. The price varied by event 4,7, and traffic gets worse from 6pm 4. There's no published official zone for ride-hailing apps, and fares surge a lot 4,8.
After the show
- The metro normally runs Monday to Friday from 5am to midnight and Saturdays from 6am to midnight 8. Nothing is confirmed for 2027.
- What usually happens: at Vive Latino 2026, Line 9 was extended until 1am, with empty trains sent to Puebla, Ciudad Deportiva and Velódromo 9. For Taylor Swift (2023), Lines 2, 3, 8, 9 and B ran until 1am 10. It's not automatic: for BTS (May 2026), the Metro said it would not change its hours 8. The government may hold the last Tacubaya–Pantitlán train by a few minutes 11. Follow @MetroCDMX.
- Ticket2Ride (Ticketmaster): a return bus that leaves from the stadium car park. At the My Chemical Romance show it cost MX$ 350, with routes to Condesa, Santa Fe, Perisur, Galerías Coapa, Interlomas, Mundo E, Plaza Lindavista and Parque de los Venados 6. It's not yet known whether there will be one for U2.
- By car, getting out of the stadium can take up to 2 hours 4.
Where to stay
- Condesa/Roma Sur (Hipódromo): Chilpancingo station on Line 9, a direct ride to Ciudad Deportiva 13,15. Condesa was one of the Ticket2Ride routes 6.
- Roma, near Centro Médico: a station linking Lines 3 and 9 13.
- Centro Histórico: Metrobús L4 straight from the airport, and metro L2 to Chabacano, where you change to L9 1,13.
- Near AICM: Terminal Aérea (L5) is two stations from Pantitlán, where L9 continues to Puebla 13,14.
Stadium rules
- Rules from recent shows (BTS and MCR in 2026); check U2's rules.

Tips
Safety
- The SSC (city police) usually runs large operations: for BTS there were 1,186 officers, with sniffer dogs and patrols against ticket touts. Buy tickets only through official channels 12.
- The banking and industrial police (PBI), who handle security inside the stadium, help you report thefts 11.
- At the airport, use only official taxis bought at the counter 1.
- After the show, taxis and ride-hailing apps charge a lot; take the metro instead 4,8.
